On Vegan Perfume

Who knew finding vegan and cruelty-free perfumes is so hard? Most fragrances on the high street are from brands that aren’t cruelty-free, which makes it difficult to find any that are.

There’s some on Petit Vour, but they are definitely more high end and with the shipping from the US being as expensive and long as it is, it can be difficult to decide what to get.

I luckily got to try out some of Pacifica’s fragrances (which are super affordable) at Vegfest. I ordered the Mediterranean Fig scent from Naturisimo, however, once I received the perfume it smelt different from what I remembered. I was probably too excited smelling all of the samples and have misread the one I liked most. Usual.

I was surprised the bottle doesn’t have a lid, but Pacifica is a brand that concerns itself with recycling a lot, which explains it. It’s a cute size bottle and you get 29ml. Naturisimo explains the scent like this:

A fun, fresh and fantastic natural perfume with Sweet Fig, Palm, Cyclamen, Moss and Clove, all set in a luscious Sandalwood base.

Logical Harmony actually has a useful guide on vegan perfumes (unfortunately for us UK gals the shipping can be a problem) as well as a post on ingredients used in non-vegan perfumes.

Anyway, I’m glad to finally start my cruelty-free and vegan perfume collection! Anyone who has any nice vegan and cruelty-free perfume recommendations, feel free to comment them below as I would love to check them out!

  1. Hey! I totally understand your pain. I did a post a while ago in cruelty free perfumes if you want to check out my blog. I’m not sure whether any of them are vegan though as I am not. Good luck on your perfume hunting!
