Natural Deodorant: does it work?

Natural deodorant is definitely an unexplored area for me. Being used to your usual chemical-packed deodorants you can find at drugstores, I was a little sceptical trying a deodorant made out of salt.

This Salt of the Earth deodorant is literally just a stick of salt. The way it works is you have to dampen it before applying. There’s no scent (duuh) and so it’s definitely not one for you heavy-sweatin’ people, but for someone who just wants a light application without irritation, it wouldn’t hurt to try. I personally am not the biggest fan because I like to stay dry while doing star jumps at the gym. Just saying.

I’m still on a hunt for something with a nice scent and no need for multiple reapplication during the day, but if for some reason my skin gets irritated I know I can always count on this.

Wow, I bet you didn’t think you were going to read a blog post on salt as a deodorant today, did you? Anyway, have you got any weird natural solutions for everyday essentials? I’d love to hear about them!

I tried that type of natural deodorant but from a different brand. I have also tried about 3-4 other all natural ones like Toms etc. I’ve come to the conclusion that with natural deodorant, you will have to re-apply during the day and be very mindful of sweat…. my current fave is by Nubian Heritage and I like the smell 🙂 I still keep Dove on hand lol

I agree! There’s definitely a gap in the market for a natural deodorant that actually keeps you dry! X
