Lush is a favourite amongst not only bath bomb addicts but also anyone looking for easily accessible natural, ethical and vegetarian/vegan skincare and cosmetics.
While I haven’t tried any of the makeup besides their lip balm (not much of a makeup product though, is it) I gave a few of their skincare bits a go and here’s some of my hits and misses.
Starting with the positive, there are three faves that I found did their job and sometimes even more.
The Rehab Shampoo gave my hair a nice break from being weighed down from all of the heavy product I put in my hair to lock in moisture and condition throughout the day. However, I find it’s better to use it once a week or maybe even several times a month because it can be a bit drying, especially for my thin hair that I straighten after every wash.
R&B Hair Moisturiser is probably my favourite product not only from Lush but in terms of all hair care. I find it really helps my ends to stay healthy for longer and when I wear my hair curly it gives it the texture it can really lack in humid Glasgow.
Their Passion Fruit Lip Balm is one of those products that doesn’t just smell great but actually helps your lips if they’re in a need of a pick-me-up. The only thing I’d say is that it doesn’t stay on for long but it’s not a deal breaker.
Despite hearing a bunch of good things about the Eau Roma Toner Water I found it didn’t do much to my skin even though I liked the experience of misting it over my face two times a day.
Similarly with one of Lush’s most famous cleansers Angels On Bare Skin I found its lack of lather ended up doing little cleansing. I now use it for the rest of my body to exfoliate but it’s definitely a pricey product to buy to end up using it on your arms and legs!
